Shriya Saran was born on 11 September 1982 in Dehradun but she was brought up in Ranipet, Tamil Nadu. Her father was Pushpendra Saran, who was a BHEL employee and her mother’s name is Neeraja. She has an elder brother by the name of Abhiroop. Shriya was the student of Delhi Public School (DPS) where she completed her schooling and moved on to obtain a B.A. (Literature) degree from Lady Sri Ram College.

Simran, the fine actor, dons a colourful role in a TV serial. Pyramid Saimira launches Simran Thirai, a mini mega series, which launches the famous actor Simran into small screen.
The series will have a mini serial per month with one story running for a month. The stories are selected from many writers and will be directed by different directors. Simran will handle the protagonist’s role in each story.
Subha Venkat, the Creative Head of Pyramid Saimira Production International Limited, informed the press that “Simran Thirai is a unique project that will churn out new stories every month, outlining varied and innovative roles for the protagonist (Simran)”.
Another uniqueness of the series is that every story will have by a different director and technicians to give a distinct cinematic flavour to the programme.
